The Turning Point Academy (TPA) is the newest form of upscale home schooling that combines the benefits of individualized education with the most advanced educational methods into a model for success for its students
Socialization with peers is a key component of this upscale education. Students together with their peers become a team experiencing key habits for success that will last them a lifetime—positive interactions, goal setting, and positive affirmations that support learning.
Each student has an Education Success Team. The Education Success Team includes many of the finest educational professionals with vast knowledge and skills to assist students. Each student receives two adult mentors who work together to enhance the learning experience. The educational mentor focuses specifically on academic content. The second mentor provides the key ingredients children need to succeed academically -- individualized personal support, guidance, and encouragement for success.
There are additional bonuses of the TPA curriculum. TPA eliminates homework hassles and creates a learning experience so that children look forward each day to going to school. There is no assigned homework; however students may need to "catch up" at home. Students learn leadership skills to achieve their ambitions in adulthood as well as skills to foster positive change. Students develop the skills they need to distinguish themselves as adults in the professional competitive world.
Another important component for success is public speaking skills. TPA students participate in a public speaking course that is very similar to Toastmasters twice a month to learn the essential skills of articulating thoughts and ideas to others. TPA has created the definitive method to help students create breakthrough results in education and in life.
